Giving DuPage is hosting the inaugural Human Race in DuPage County on April 21, 2012, as the culmination of National Volunteer Week. This 5KRun/Walk will be held at Danada Forest Preserve at 9:00 a.m. and will bring multiple area non-profits together under one umbrella. Registration is open!! The spirit of Dr. King was alive in the activities hosted to honor his legacy of service at Benedictine University on 1/16/12. Thanks to all who came out to help with the event and to the Benedictine University students who, once again, did an amazing job helping with all of the projects. We are counting all of the items created by participants so check back for a list of all that was created and where it will be distributed.

Thanks to all who attended our "Find Your Cause" Volunteer Fair on 1/5/12. Naper Settlement provided a wonderful setting and the warm weather brought community members out to learn more about how they can get involved. Giving DuPage is grateful to have been one of the area non-profits invited to decorate a tree at the Robert R. McCormick Museum at Cantigny this holiday season. Kristen from Kio Kreations provided her artistic expertise in teaching volunteers how to make the beautiful ornaments that adorn the tree. You can make them, too!
