Welcome to Giving DuPage

Our mission is to promote giving and volunteering in DuPage County.  We are an award-winning public/private collaboration connecting donors and volunteers with their favorite local charities. At Giving DuPage, you can learn about volunteer opportunities at local non-profits and discover helpful tips on volunteering and giving.

We don’t promote any particular organization or cause. We just want to help you get involved in your community!   Celebrate summer by connecting with a new cause. Check out the hundreds of opportunities with local agencies.

Here are some of the things we do:

Clearinghouse - our website features an interactive volunteer match with volunteer and donation opportunities at a variety of DuPage County non-profit organizations.  Click here to discover an opportunity just right for you!  You can also look at the tool bar on the left side of this page for other helpful information on philanthropy and volunteerism.

DuPage Remembers and Gives... Days of Volunteerism - annual countywide event commemorates September 11 by bringing the community together in a weekend of service.  In 2007, the event involved 2,200 volunteers county wide.  Click here to see photos of volunteers in action and our list of generous sponsors and participants.  Mark your calendar for this year's event on September 12 and 13, 2008!

Holiday Giving Guide - highlights seasonal volunteer and donation needs at a variety of DuPage County non-profit organizations.  Click here to download a copy of the 2007 guide.  Watch for the 2008 Annual Giving Guide which will be available in mid September 2008 and will include both holiday and ongoing opportunities to give back to our community.

NEWS:

It is time to sign up to participate in the seventh annual DuPage Remembers and Gives...A Weekend of Volunteerism. This year the days of volunteerism will take place Friday, September 12 and Saturday, September 13. Click here to search for opportunities specific to September 12 and 13 and get involved in this community wide effort to "give back."   And new this year will be the Volunteer Recruitment Fair at Cantigny Park on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. We hope the Volunteer Fair will provide a one-stop opportunity for DuPage County residents to become aware of all of the ways they can get involved in serving the community year-round. As an added bonus, Cantigny Park will be hosting the Revolutionary War Re-enactment and Emergency Preparedness Fair during the same timeframe as the Volunteer Recruiment Fair.  So for the cost of parking, you will have access to three great events. Plan to participate in these county-wide days of service and to meet and learn about dozens of non-profit organizations at one great outdoor Volunteer Fair.

As we design our 2008 Annual Giving Guide, which will be available during our Weekend of Volunteerism, beginning September 12, we request that you keep in mind our 2007 Holiday Giving Guide sponsors:  M&M Orthopaedics and  Stratford Square Mall.

Need help to meet your basic needs? Go to C.R.I.S. for a list of social service agencies in our community that can provide assistance.
